AbstractOrthodontic treatment often represents just the beginning of a comprehensive aesthetic and functional journey. This lecture will explore the restorative strategies following orthodontic therapy, analysing both direct composite solutions and indirect restorations such as veneers and partial ceramic restorations. Through a detailed aesthetic and functional analysis, practical techniques and clinical tips will be presented for managing common post-orthodontic challenges, including tooth shape modifications, treatment of dental agenesis – with a focus on space management for prosthetic replacement or morphological corrections – and diastema closures to optimise proportions and harmony in the smile.
Special emphasis will be placed on composite material selection based on their optical properties, aiming for ideal integration and natural mimetism. Practical guidance will be given on choosing between opaquers, enamel shades, and universal masses according to the substrate and ambient light conditions. Decision-making criteria for selecting between direct and indirect restorations will also be discussed, ensuring minimally invasive approaches with maximised aesthetic and functional outcomes.
This lecture aims to provide clinicians with a comprehensive overview, enriched by immediately applicable strategies, to approach post-orthodontic rehabilitations with confidence, transforming complex cases into opportunities for creating naturally beautiful and stable smiles.

Orthodontics and Periodontics interaction contribute synergically to the adult and children treatment plan. Orthodontic procedures can improve the periodontal treatment plan, increase its predictability, integrate it, interact in the surgical approach. Orthodontics is, definitely, a periodontal treatment. At the same time, Periodontics can increase the potential and predictability of orthodontic treatments, completing them synergically.
The key elements of diagnosis, treatment planning and protocols in ortho-perio patients can be achieved in vestibular, lingual and aligner orthodontic techniques, focusing on a flow chart integrated with risk assessment and inserted in timing in daily practice with strict compliance to the biomechanics in periodontal patients.
Ortho-Perio Risk Assessment (OPRA) in adult patients with established ortho-perio treatment necessities and early diagnosis, even in adolescent patients through the p-OPRA (pediatric-Ortho-Perio-Risk Assessment) protocol, allows for the early interception of risk factors for periodontal disease and mucogingival problems and the achievement of long-term stability.
The synergy between the two specialties offers an ortho-perio timing to standardize a work protocol and relationship between the different disciplines with mutual and daily updating and cultural sharing among clinicians, so that tradition marries new technologies.
The “Guided Orthodontic Regeneration” (GOR) procedures use orthodontic movements in perio-restorative patients. GOR techniques include a guided orthodontic “soft tissues” regeneration (GOTR) with a plastic approach of the soft tissues and a guided orthodontic “bone” regeneration (GOBR) with a new approach to bone regeneration. The increased amount of soft tissue acquired with orthodontic movement can be used for subsequent periodontal regenerative surgical techniques, improving their management. The increased amount of bone improves the primary stability of the implant and makes a regenerative technique more predictable to regenerate lost tissue, to restore teeth with external resorption in the aesthetic zone or to create new hard and soft tissue for adjacent teeth. Orthodontic bone leveling, space redistribution, modification of the morphology of bone defects can modify interdisciplinary treatments and integrate the adult periodontal approach.
On the other hand, the periodontal approach in diagnosis, treatment planning, and orthodontic mechanics in children and adolescents represents a revolution that must become an integral part of daily orthodontic practice in relationship to the prevention of major periodontal pathologies in paediatric and adolescent patients and to the highlighting of the importance of periodontal screening to enable early detection of both dental and systemic issues.
Ortho-Perio treatment in children is the key to orthopedic treatment and allows the guided physiological eruption of teeth at risk of displacement and inclusion, creating a physiological attachment apparatus, using the basic concepts of mucogingival surgery in the management of soft tissues in surgical disinclusion procedures of retained teeth. Soft tissue management in the treatment of retained teeth will result in the creation of a healthy periodontal attachment for the long-term management of periodontal health in young patients who will soon become adults.

Abstract
This conference will explore current protocols and clinical strategies for immediate implant placement following molar extractions in both maxillary and mandibular posterior regions. These sites present unique anatomical and biomechanical challenges, such as wide extraction sockets, complex root anatomy, and limited bone support. Special attention will be given to case selection criteria and techniques that optimize implant position and axis, primary stability and long-term success. Additionally, the session will address alveolar ridge preservation approaches aimed at minimizing post-extraction bone resorption and maintaining ideal bone contours for future implant placement. The integration of biomaterials, socket grafting, specific membrane applications and soft tissue management will be discussed through clinical cases and evidence-based data. This comprehensive overview will support clinicians in making predictable and biologically sound decisions when facing posterior tooth loss and planning for immediate or delayed implant placement.

Abstract
The Ortho-Perio-Restorative interface plays a critical role in the management of worn and broken-down dentition, patients with congenitally missing and malformed teeth and patients with severe alveolar defects or advanced periodontal disease involving teeth in the aesthetic zone. This presentation will outline the interdisciplinary team approach to managing our cases predictably in our practice. The aesthetic rehabilitation of the periodontally and structurally compromised dentition in the aesthetic zone remains a challenge despite the numerous advances in the treatment of periodontitis, regenerative and dental implant therapies. The management of some cases requires some ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking
Participants will:-
Learn the key principles for the diagnosis, treatment planning and management of the compromised dentition
Strategies for aesthetic rehabilitation of aesthetic & restorative dilemmas will be presented and discussed
See the benefit of interdisciplinary case management and the management of the Ortho-Perio-Restorative interface
Learn how orthodontic treatment can faciliate treatment outcomes
See the interdisciplinary rehabilitation of patients with severe alveolar defects or advanced periodontal disease involving teeth in the aesthetic zone
Review a systematic approach to case management in complex cases
Strategies for aesthetic rehabilitation of complex aesthetic & restorative dilemmas, ie. failed implant/grafts cases in the aesthetic zone and implants cases with compromised aesthetic outcomes.
Review the interdisciplinary rehabilitation of patients with advanced periodontal disease involving teeth in the aesthetic zone

AbstractThe shift towards minimally invasive dentistry is obvious. The goal is to preserve as much of the tooth structure as possible and extend pulpal vitality. Another noticeable switch in restorative dentistry is metal-free restorations. These tooth-colored restorations must survive in demanding multi-factorial oral conditions. The presentation will overview the findings of clinical studies on the survival of, and endodontic complications of glass ceramic complete and partial coverage restorations. Additionally, the presentation will address the decision-making process of replacing teeth with implants. What should a clinician expect with implant-retained restorations and how can the complications be minimized will also be discussed.
Learning Objectives
To identify the factors determining long-term successful outcome of ceramic restorations.
Assess the incidence of endodontic therapy after receiving either complete or partial coverage glass ceramic restorations.
To evaluate the clinical variables influencing the incidence of endodontic therapy in prosthodontic treatment.
To review the possible complications associated with implant-retained restorations.
Dr. Malament received his D.D.S. from N.Y.U. College of Dentistry and a specialty certificate and Master’s degree from Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. AbstractAN ADVANCED PERSPECTIVE ON LITHIUM DISILICATE RESTORATIONS IN THE AGE OF ZIRCONIA
Dentistry that is esthetic to the patient is an important clinical objective. The knowledge within dental technology, dental science and dental practice has dramatically expanded leading to better quality; artistry and more standards based clinical applications. Ceramics are the most consistently predictable esthetic dental material. Today dentists can offer more treatment options for patient’s complex problems. The single phase or monolithic all-ceramic materials have become increasingly more popular with minimal chipping. These types of dental ceramic materials are dominating the market and future development bringing with it more long-term success. Metal-ceramics and monolithic Zirconia are the “state of the art” for complex implant prosthodontics.
All-ceramic materials were developed to improve ceramic color and marginal fit. Present bi-layered all-ceramic crowns on molars have reached their full potential. Despite substantial improvements in material strength and toughness, they still may fail because of breakage and chipping. The Lithium Disilicate e. max and Zirconia mono-layered all-ceramic material are changing dentistry and the realization of long-term ceramic survival. Original research will be presented that studied the clinical behavior of almost nine thousand all-ceramic restorations and specifically significantly more than 5000 e. max Lithium Disilicate restorations.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To understand what factors and concerns a prosthodontist would have treating patients that require “esthetic procedures”.
To understand the controversies that exists with modern dental materials.
To understand what clinical factors impact on long term survival of dental ceramic materials. The e max lithium disilicate ceramic restoration has proved with over 4800 restorations and 18 years to be the most successful ceramic ever studied.
To understand the restoration of dental implants in complex conditions.

AbstractThe need for optimum results in the areas of aesthetics, function and biocompatibility, necessitates more and more the use of minimal invasive all-ceramic restorations, implants, and their combination. This presentation describes step by step the daily laboratory process, and the way that art and technology in combination with artistic perspective , manage to fulfill with great success excellent accuracy for the requirements of each individual case. Methods and handling for analysis and design will be described in order to understand and be able to select the proper conservative solution for the optimal result.
Objectives:
• Framework design and its importance to the increase of the Pressable restorations’ aesthetics.
• Internal stain techniques and fluorescent increase on Zirconia restorations.
• Step by step layering on Feldspathic Veneers with the “One Bake Technique”.
Dr Christos Krasadakis graduated from the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2006 and from the Medical School of the same University in 2010. In 2011 and for one year he worked as a general surgeon at the Evaggelistria Hospital in Tripoli. Since 2012 he works as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at the KAT Hospital in Athens.
In recent years he has also focused on facial aesthetics using injectable products (Botox, Hyalouronic Acid, Thread lifts, Blood derivatives) and has played a significant role in training dentists and physicians in this field. In 2017 and in collaboration with other physicians of different specialties, such as plastic surgeons and dermatologists, he founded the Facial Esthetic and Rejuvenation Academy of Greece, an academy oriented in training young physicians in aesthetic interventions in the neck and face.
He has been certified as an RTI First Aid Instructor, an ATLS Provider and an ACLS Provider. He offers, voluntarily, first aid seminars at schools in Athens and has founded the volunteer group «First Aid Athens». He has presented many times in Greek and international scientific conferences.
He collaborates with Dental Group as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and he treats cases of facial aesthetics using injectable products (Botox, Hyalouronic Acid, Thread lifts, Blood derivatives).
AbstractFacial aesthetic improvement can be achieved through both non-surgical and surgical methods, each offering distinct advantages depending on patient needs, expectations, and anatomical considerations. This presentation explores the key differences between injectable treatments—such as botulinum toxin and dermal fillers—and surgical options like facelifts, blepharoplasty, and fat grafting. Injectables offer immediate, minimally invasive results with limited downtime, making them ideal for patients seeking subtle, short-term enhancements. However, they require regular maintenance and may be limited in addressing significant tissue laxity or structural aging. Surgical approaches, while more invasive, provide long-lasting and often more comprehensive rejuvenation outcomes. The presentation will compare indications, efficacy, risks, patient selection criteria, and aesthetic outcomes, highlighting the importance of individualized treatment planning. A combined approach is also discussed as an optimal strategy in many cases, maximizing both efficacy and patient satisfaction through synergy between techniques.
